Which visa is required? (Source: English UK / GOV.UK)

Below, you will find everything you need to know when you plan to study English in the UK. Lexis School of English has summarised the information so you don't have to. 

Many students can study in the UK for up to six months without a visa and some nationalities need to apply for a Standard Visitor visa.

For courses longer than six months, all international students need to apply for a visa before travel.

Lexis School of English is accredited by the British Council and Accreditation UK.  

We can issue you a letter of acceptance so you can apply for a Short-Term Study Visa.  

 

Standard Visitor visa - Everyone is allowed to study in the UK for up to six months as a visitor.

Short-term Study visa - For courses longer than six months, all international students need to apply for a visa before travel.

Student visa: If the study programme includes other subjects or if the student plans to study for longer than 11 months, a Student visa is required.

EVV (Electronic Visa Waiver) - Students from Gulf Cooperation Council countries should apply for an Electronic Visa Waiver. For more information see below

Long-term Standard Visitor visa: You can choose to apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa if you visit the UK regularly. This visa lasts 2, 5 or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of 6 months on each visit.
