Our top tip:

London is very busy during the summer and accommodation can be hard to find during this time, so we recommend that students book as early as possible. All accommodation options are subject to availability but we always try our best to fulfil all of your requirements.

Homestay

What is homestay?

Homestay accommodation, a unique and authentic way to experience a new culture and immerse yourself in the local community. You get a chance to live with a family or local host, who provides a comfortable and welcoming home away from home. Unlike traditional hotels or rental properties, homestays provide a personal touch that can't be matched, with hosts who are eager to share their knowledge of the area, customs, and language.

We understand that choosing the right accommodation is one of the most important decisions when studying overseas, and that's why we're committed to providing you with a comfortable and welcoming home away from home. Our homestays offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture, improve your English language skills, and make lasting connections with your homestay host. With our personalised service, we will pair you with a host family that best suits your preferences and needs. Our experienced and welcoming hosts will provide you with a safe and comfortable living environment while giving you the opportunity to learn and experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of London. Finchley is the ideal location for visiting students who prefer easy access to London without the hustle and bustle on their doorstep. It is a clean and vibrant area of North London, which provides an excellent opportunity for our students to live and learn in a family oriented neighbourhood.

Please remember:

Accommodation is booked from Sunday (check in) to Saturday (check out).
Students are not permitted to check in to or check out of their homestay accommodation between 10pm and 7am. Please consider this when booking your flights and if you insist on arriving between these hours, you may need to stay overnight in a hotel.

Lexis students can choose between bed & breakfast or half-board in a single or shared room. Shared rooms cannot be booked individually.

Included in the above prices: a weekly laundry service, a weekly change of bed linen and a weekly clean of the student's bedroom at an agreed and suitable time. Important: Students aged 12-15 must have a legal guardian in London. Under 18s are required to submit a parental consent form Group bookings welcome with a group leader. In busy periods our experienced accommodation team works in partnership with external accommodation agencies in order to find the most suitable option for your needs and budget.

Prices may slightly vary from our published fees when we have to use external accommodation agencies.

Please remember: Students are not permitted to check in to or check out of their homestay accommodation between 11pm and 7am.

Other types of accommodation

Instead of homestay you might enjoy the opportunity to live with other students (from the UK and around the world) at a student residence or would like a more private setting in a shared private home (we can also help you find female/male only houses) or even live like a king/queen in one of the nearby hotels.

Warning - please be aware of the implications of arranging your own Private Rented Accommodation with an estate agent or via an advertisement you have seen (eg online).

For example, you must never pay for private rented accommodation before you have seen the room or property. Are you happy and do you feel secure living in the property? Is it close to Lexis School of English?

If you arrange your own private rented accommodation, you'll miss out on living with a homestay and even meeting other English language students...

Description	Halls offer modern spacious bedrooms (en-suite and/or shared bathroom) in shared apartments, with a shared kitchen and living area and free WiFi. Halls are refurbished to the highest standards. Facilities can vary and can include: • on-site gym, • lounge areas with Sky TV • games room • bike shed • laundry services • special study spaces. Bedding and linen is provided on arrival, but students are advised to bring bath towels.	The houses are fully furnished to a modern standard and come with a fully equipped kitchen. Shared communal areas include the kitchen, lounge / TV room, free WiFi and the bathroom (unless the room is en-suite). Soft linen and bedding kits are provided.	The hotels are in Finchley or neighbouring areas. They are close to Hampstead Heath and Brent Cross shopping centre. Within 25 minutes you are in Central London. Hotels operate a dynamic pricing system, which means they adjust the prices according to demand. Prices cannot be guaranteed unless it’s booked immediately.
